Tuck Everlasting

Tuck Everlasting is about a family whose last name is Tuck. The Tuck family was traveling when they found a spring and drank from it. The spring was not any old spring, it was a magical spring and whoever drank from it would live forever. The Fosters are another family in the story. They have a daughter who they protect like a gold. Fed up with her family's restrictions, one day she runs away. She meets the Tucks and stays with them for a month. During that time, she falls in love with their youngest son. He appears to be seventeen, but he's really a very old man. 

I liked that the girl was brave enough to run away, but I found it creepy that she fell in love with a boy who had been on earth for 104 years.  I think he should have been more honorable and not deceived her about his age. He was old enough to be her father or her grandfather. Yuck!

CHINESE LANTERN

Today, I woke up at 5:30 in the morning starving hungry, so I got my mom up to make breakfast. I opened the door to get the paper for my mom when I saw an envelope addressed to me. I grabbed the paper and the envelope and ran inside. Inside the envelope was a Chinese lantern from my Chinese teacher.

SWIM MEET

On Saturday,  I swam at my first my meet. I swam Breaststroke and won first place. And, in Butterfly, I won second place. In Backstroke, I won third place. In Freestyle I won second place.
When I arrived at 7:30 AM, and saw the crowd of 500 people, I was so glad my dad was with me. My dad knew what to do. He found my team, helped me get signed in and saw me to the practice pool. Then, while I was swimming, he left without telling me that he was going anywhere. When I hopped out of the pool, I looked around for him and when I couldn't find him, I sat down and ate a chocolate bar. Then, I started to cry. I cried and cried until a coach came over and asked me what was wrong. I couldn't even talk, I was crying so hard. Another coach, also came over to see what was happening. When I finally was able to tell them I didn't know where I was supposed to be or what I was supposed to be doing, they understood and found three buddies for me. The buddies are older swimmers who are there to help the younger swimmers find their way around the meet.

I hope I never have to go to a meet ever again!

An Amazing Creation

Today I built my own scooter basket out of a old Lego box and a coat hanger.

ICE CREAM

Today, I went to an ice cream shop in the mall. The ice cream was not as good as Creams and Dreams, because  it did not taste as fresh. My sister and I got the vanilla chocolate and at $13 for two cones it very expensive. It would have been better to have a Haagen-Dazs bar at home.

CUPCAKE CAFE EXTRAORDINAIRE!

 Today, I finished my Lego Ice Cream cafe. It was pretty easy to make, even though it has 180 pieces. I bought it with my Tooth Fairy money (I lost my first molar).  Although it was easy to make, it was very fun because of the tiny pieces! My favorite part is the blender because it is the exact model of the real thing.

Doughnuts

Today I went to DK donuts and got a Canadian cream doughnut and a "Cronut". The Canadian cream is a doughnut with whipped cream and the Cronut is a doughnut and a croissant  in one.

BUTTERFLIES

For my sister's birthday, she got caterpillars. They turned into butterflies.We were supposed to let them go, but we wanted to to see the whole life cycle.They laid eggs.

Getting Ready for a Recital

This is me getting ready for the May recital.I did not play piano. I played violin.The song I played was Boccherini's Minuet.
